Profile:
Deployment specialist that can configure, install, deploy and support applications across a broad range of languages and operating systems.
- Candidate will have experience in installing in-house and 3rd party application across a variety of operating systems within an integrated enterprise ensuring that the installation satisfies standards with respect to developer access, user access, license management, incident management, system monitoring, and root cause analysis.
- It is expected that Level 1 support will be provided by a standard services organization already in place.
Technical Skill Requirements:
- 5 + years of experience in installing and supporting applications with an integrated enterprise
- Strong UNIX and Windows scripting skills (bash, perl, sed, awk, grep, python). Linux experience.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting and reporting systems – such as Nagios or Ganglia.
- Experience in configuring and managing webservers (tomcat, apache, Iplanet)
- Experience in configuring and managing license servers (FlexLM)
- Strong commitment toward best practices within enterprise development and deployment
- Good written documentation skills for analyzing and publishing runbooks and BCP plans. Very good client facing skills. Experience as Windows or UNIX system administrator a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and rollout the installation of vendor and internally developed applications so that they can be supported with offshore resources. Document and “runbook” level 1 support activities so that they can be performed by the offshore team.
- Assist in configuration, scripting, packaging, deployment and process management of software
- Implement self-serve entitlement schemes using Exchange, LDAP, Kerberos and AD.
- Ensure that the systems documentation for each application is correct with respect to hardware inventory, communication lists and comply with the regulated and auditable best practices.
- Document and perform upgrades so that the installation stay current with software provider supported versions.
- Perform second level support and root cause analysis for chronic issues and assist in reporting to the software provider.
- Ensure that outages are communicated, resolved, diagnosed to root cause and followed up
- Ensure that the system is using hardware resources effectively and within safe operating thresholds

SSAS Data Warehouse Developer

Description
The candidate will report to Project Manager and participate in the design and implementation of the data warehouse. Additional responsibilities include: – Participate and assist in data model design process – Participate in entire SDLC process – Understand the business requirement and functional spec and translate to technical solutions – Deliver end-product as required in the spec or instructed by Tech Manager/BA and perform unit testing to ensure the quality of the codes – Deployment/ Release – Provide production support and maintain existing systems by researching and trouble-shooting any issues/problems – Document the requirements and technical design as required – Maintain constant communication with other team members, technical manager and the team in Offshore
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience responsible for enterprise data warehouse.
- Experience working in a reporting group for a large financial firm.
- At least 5 years experience in OLAP architecture design, multi dimensional data modeling, data mart design.
- At least 5 years experience with developing structured systems specifications, including logical and physical data modeling/design.
- At least, 4 years Experience in Analysis Services (SSAS)
- Experience in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is desirable
- Expert SQL Server 2005/2008 skills required.
- Extensive experience with all phases of Data Warehouse development including prototyping, data modeling, analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, and training other team members.
- Expertise in T-SQL stored procedure programming with MS-SQL Server
- Must have been exposed to full SDLC process
- Ability to design, organize, and implement module, perform system testing, plan and automate tasks to maintain existing system
- Ability to research and trouble-shoot application problems
